Kenyan Premier League's (KPL) 2016 champions Tusker FC have finally bowed to pressure and moved their home matches from Ruaraka Grounds to Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos over the poor state of the former's playing surface.
There has been public outcry over the dilapidated state of the EABL owned facility.

Chemelil Sugar coach Francis Baraza, immediate former Ulinzi coach Dunstan Nyaudo and Kariobangi Sharks coach William Muluya, are some of the coaches who had called for the ban of the facility from hosting games.

Sharks winger Harrison Mwendwa picked an injury on the hazardous pitch while in action thanks to its neglected state.
Tusker announced it has shifted base to Machakos to allow for renovations at Ruaraka.
"Tusker Football Club wishes to inform the media, our fans and the general public that we have shifted our home ground from Ruaraka grounds to Machakos, Kenyatta stadium to pave way for renovations to be carried out at the Ruraka grounds.We shall update you on the season fixture changes," said a statement from the Brewers.Some of the teams that use Machakos for their home matches include, Mt Kenya United, AFC Leopards, Gor Mahia, KCB, Sofapaka and Posta Rangers.
