Mike Myers (Actor and Comedian)

Full Name: Michael John Myers
Profession: Actor and Comedian

Biography: The Canadian actor rose to fame on Saturday Night Live, appearing from 1989 to 1995. He became known for his comic characters especially Wayne Campbell. He went on to make that character the basis of his film "Wayne's World" in 1992, with Saturday Night Live co-star Dana Carey playing his best friend Gareth. The film had a successful sequel in 1993.

Myers then created the Austin Powers film series, a lighthearted spoof on earlier James Bond style films with Liz Hurley and Seth Green but playing a number of the characters including 'Doctor Evil' himself. "Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery" successfully opened in 1997 and two other films followed.

Myers is also the voice of Shrek, the animated ogre film character based on the books by William Steig.

Myers has at times taken on more serious roles, gaining positive reviews for his supporting role in Quentin Tarantino's film "Inglourious Basterds".

In 2013 Myers made his directorial debut with the documentary "Supermensch: The Legend of Shep Gordon".
